Cole's Birthday

Our first trip of the year was a short one.  We traveled to Indy for a follow up appointment with Marcia's Dr. and to attend a Cole's birthday celebration.  We stayed at our favorite place near Noblesville, the White River Campground which is part of the Hamilton County Parks and Recreation Dept.  We like this park because it is clean, well run and most importantly only about ten minutes from Brian and Jennifer's house.

First we had to view Cole's science project.  He did a very nice project on Glow Sticks and how they work.  He had a very nice poster and told us all about why Glow Sticks glow.  Good job Cole.
Quinn also did a poster.  He did a very nice job also.
Then it was time to open birthday presents so on with the show.  Cole had lots of nice presents and lots of fun opening them.

After all of the presents it was time for the Birthday Cake.  Cole did a good job of blowing out all of the candles.

My next photo is just one I took one morning as the sun was coming up.  It made some wonderful colors.

A little later Cole & Quinn came to visit us at the farm.  We had lots of Kubota rides and they decided to try climbing the crab apple tree.  Looks like they were successful.

Marcia and I took a ride out to Wing Haven one Sunday afternoon and walked down to the lake.  What a beautiful and serene place.

The serenity of the above photo is a fitting close for this episode.  We will all remember Marcia's mother Louise as the gentle, caring, loving and serene person that she was.
