Big News!

First the really big news: Marcia is going to be doing more of this, playing with the grandkids. She is going to retire at the end of this school year. We are very excited and happy. It has been a long time coming. Now she has to get all of the paperwork done so she can start living the easy life. Spring break is next week for her so she is going to try to get everything done and submitted for her pension and social security. Hard to believe we are old enough to be on social security. She has been trying to not get too excited for the last month ever since she found out they were going to offer a buyout but to a limited number of people. The 15th was the deadline for people to submit their resignations and she heard today that she will be one of the chosen ones. Without the buyout she would not have been able to go this year.

The other big news is the answer to yesterdays blog, will it work? Well the proof is in the picture. We got the pole put up today. Now we just have to hope the osprey will like it and decide to build their nest on it. It actually went up fairly easily. I used my telescopic boom forklift and fastened the pole to the mast which I can tip way forward. I then carried it back to the ridge behind the little creek next to the big sitting rock and tipped it up and set it right down in the hole. I found a fellow who had the tools to dig the hole deep enough and he even came and dug it for me. So to all osprey, "Come on down".
